According to the universiry research, NK Stimu results show it can inhibit Glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), and Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF-α), significantly reducing pulmonary edema in mice by up to 80%. High levels of GRP78 can cause immune system disorders/cytokine storms. When many countries were ravaged by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, medical findings showed that infected patients had significantly elevated GRP78 levels in their blood and lungs, triggering pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis, leading to reduced lung capacity and decreased blood oxygen levels. GRP78 is soluble and can form complexes with viral particles, affecting patients' respiratory systems and various organs, including kidneys, heart, liver, brain, and pancreas. 

GRP78 is a molecular chaperone protein in the cell's Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER), responsible for proper protein folding and preventing new peptide aggregation in the ER. When the ER experiences oxidative stress, it disrupts GRP78's normal function and causes calcium ion imbalance, leading to pathological processes including gene mutations, Tau phosphorylation, and β-amyloid formation. This further promotes cholesterol and lipid level disorders, increasing the risk of high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high cholesterol. Recent scientific research shows that ER oxidative stress leads to accumulation and deposition of Unfolded Proteins (URP) in cells. These abnormal proteins, called β-Amyloid, disrupt normal neuronal signal transmission and induce neuronal damage, leading to Alzheimer's disease. In recent years, biologists have extensively focused on the relationship between GRP78 expression and fatty liver, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and tumor growth, while continuing key research on GRP78 pathways as a new direction for cancer treatment.

MMP-3 is a matrix-dissolving enzyme that causes calcification and inflammatory damage to bone collagen, connective tissue, and blood vessels.
